This Week's Interesting Sales Tools
Icypeas/Leadmagic/Relevance/Sybill/ Open AI Script
Hello! Each week I uncover 4-5 of the most interesting tools that salespeople can use. These tools can range from salestech to general tools with applications in sales. Without further ado, here's what I have featured this week.
1. Icypeas: Email Discovery and Verification
Icypeas is an email discovery and verification tool that utilizes data from open sources without the need for databases or cascading tools. Although my testing has been limited, I've found their bulk email finder/verifier to be quite effective. It's refreshing to see them bringing transparency thorough benchmarking results against major competitors in this crowded space. Icypeas also highlights privacy as a main feature: they're ISO 27001 certified, CCPA compliant, and GDPR aligned.
One thing I’d like to see would be enhancing the search for more specific email addresses like person@company rather than ones like info@ when scanning websites. Currently, they don’t offer built-in connections to CRMs, but you can integrate it with most major tools using Zapier or n8n. Users can simply drag and drop files into the platform to initiate the email discovery process.

2. Leadmagic: Lead generation
job data
LeadMagic is a platform that focuses on lead generation and offers features such as visitor identification, data enrichment, and tools to simplify email warm-up processes and domain management. I like that it provides access to job posting data, a feature typically expensive through established players like UserGems. I found the data to be good although it would’ve been good to filter out negative keywords, such as "executive assistant," when searching for specific roles like CMO. Also, it currently lacks the functionality to scrape job descriptions, which could enhance data enrichment capabilities. This is pretty understandable as they seem to be building out features in addition to their core functionalities. Additionally, they have a technographic finder and Google ad spend data analyzer tool.

3. Relevance AI: AI Agents
data output
Relevance AI offers a platform where you can create your AI Agents with specific Tools tailored to your business needs. These AI tools are powered by LLM chains, combining various steps of Large Language Models to enhance functionality. You can deploy your workflows as shareable apps, embeddable forms, or API endpoints. Additionally, they support providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, and PaLM.
While we've highlighted a few AI agent tools before, I particularly appreciate the structured step-by-step process in Relevance. This approach simplifies quality checks at various stages of the process. However, it does seem a bit complex to get started, at least for me. You have to provide them with APIs to begin.

4. Sybill: AI Personal Assistant
free upload feature
Sybill is an AI tool designed to assist sales teams by automating various tasks like writing CRM updates, follow-up emails, and call summaries based on sales conversations. It captures important points from calls, such as next steps, pain points, and pricing discussions, and generates detailed summaries that can be pushed to CRM systems, Slack, and email. I haven’t tried it but a unique feature seems to be analyzing non-verbal behaviors to provide insights into a prospect's mental state. It’s also cool that you can upload and get a summary of a call to understand how it works without signing up for the tool.

5. Open AI Integration Script for Google Sheets
While not a salestech tool or even an add-on, this script is useful for integrating OpenAI with Google Sheets at no cost. Although Google workplace add-ons can achieve similar functionality, this script is for those who prefer a do-it-yourself approach and seek more flexibility. You can implement this by copying the script to the Apps Script editor.

🛠️ I am not a tool review expert, but rather a seeker of new sales tools. I explore and highlight interesting aspects from my(limited) perspective(feedback is always welcome). Also please note that as these tools are often new, there is a chance they may not function properly at times. For a better ecosystem, I encourage reaching out to the founders directly for feedback.
