Interesting tools

Hello! Each week I uncover 4-5 of the most interesting new tools that salespeople can use. These tools can range from salestech to general tools with applications in sales. Without further ado, here's what I have featured this week.

1. Unify : Comprehensive Outbound Solution

Unify is a comprehensive outbound platform that streamlines the entire prospecting process, from list building to email sending. They've strategically adopted the term 'Warm Outbound' for positioning, which sounds cooler than a typical buyer intent + outreach platform! It appears that their AI Agent sifts through signals to create a customized lead list. 6sense and Clearbit seem to be their data partners, suggesting potential cost-saving opportunities, though it's not guaranteed. (Clay.com follows a similar approach by purchasing credits in bulk.) The CRM integration is currently restricted to Salesforce.

They've recently raised seed funding from OpenAI (which lends credibility to their technical capabilities) and other investors. The website showcases interesting use cases, such as immediate Slack alerts for Salesforce account owners when a company visits both the pricing page and a competitor's G2 page on the same day. Signing up is available only through a demo.

2. Rizz : AI lead gen for Reddit

Rizz scours through Reddit, uncovering discussions relevant to your topic. The setup is quite seamless, though occasionally there may be irrelevant results when keywords are loosely linked to descriptions. Reddit has become a treasure trove for prospecting, especially with Google directing more traffic its way these days.

One nifty feature is the ability to generate AI-generated replies right from the dashboard, allowing you to post without navigating to Reddit. Another handy feature is the direct link to a poster's profile, simplifying direct messaging. This could prove invaluable since Redditors are wary of self-promotion, and leaving a comment isn't always the best engagement strategy.

The founder, a seasoned CTO with two decades of experience, dabbles in indie projects on the side. The website mentions they might extend their capabilities to monitor other platforms, including LinkedIn, known for its tough nut to crack but immense usefulness. They offer a 7-day free trial with credit card registration.

3. Notch : Digital Sales Room

Notch appears to be a well-crafted product in terms of UI and design. It integrates with Slack, HubSpot, Salesforce, and Monday. Unlike many proposal tools that tend to be clunky or overloaded with features, Notch takes a more refined approach. Additionally, they offer a lifetime deal on AppSumo, which is always a tempting offer for a new tool.

What's intriguing is their team setup: four co-founders, including one dedicated to product and two others to development. This structure likely explains why the product looks so polished. Some AppSumo reviewers suggested adding more features to amp up the FOMO factor and drive action. While this could be enticing (It got me reminiscing about countless proposals for client prospecting that led nowhere), it's crucial to strike a balance and avoid bloating the tool with unnecessary features. Hopefully, they remain focused on enhancing effectiveness while maintaining simplicity.

4. Sales Sparrow : Open Source Note-taking

Sales Sparrow is a mobile app designed for users to connect their Salesforce accounts and add notes. It offers AI-driven suggestions based on these notes for next steps, facilitating task and event management.

What makes Sales Sparrow intriguing is its open-source nature and availability on both iOS and Android platforms. While there are numerous AI-driven note-taking tools on the market, there's often value in initially jotting down thoughts manually before seeking AI assistance (I attempted to try it out, but it required a Salesforce account for entry, which I currently lack in my digital toolkit!) The app is free to download and is developed by Truesparrow, a product studio that has multiple open-source projects under its belt.

5. Salesbop : AI sales mentor

SalesBop is an AI-powered coaching tool that provides personalized feedback to sales representatives and managers, helping them identify areas for improvement and optimize their sales calls. Call analysis tools are all the rage these days, with Fireflies being one of the big names. However, SalesBop seems to be taking a different approach by focusing on coaching. While they don't mention the integrations they offer on their site yet, they claim to slash sales coaching expenses by offering affordable coaching on every call (less than 0.4% of traditional coaching costs). The founders are students with technical expertise and experience in the business side of things. It'll be interesting to see how this product shapes up with their fresh perspective on the sales industry.

🛠️ I am not a tool review expert, but rather a seeker of new sales tools. I explore and highlight interesting aspects from my(limited) perspective(feedback is always welcome). Also please note that as these tools are often new, there is a chance they may not function properly at times. For a better ecosystem, I encourage reaching out to the founders directly for feedback.
